"Evil Has Two Names - But Only One Sound" is the
catch-phrase you will find on the cover of this brand-new
heavy-metal compilation, which comes in three different
flavors: Regular, Freddy, and Jason!
Makes you wonder how well the record companies made
out after the fans recieved Ronny Yu's 'Freddy Vs. Jason' this
past Summer. In my opinion, 'Freddy Vs. Jason' is one of the biggest
disappointments in horror film history.
For those of you who've watched both franchises grow,
you will agree that even the worst sequel in either franchise
was better than Ronny Yu's wannabe grudge match!
O.K. I'll admit it. The film has its ups and downs.
Robert Englund's performance is kick ass! Freddy's back
and mad as Hell.
But Ken Kirzinger's interpretation of "Jason" leaves a lot
to be desired. I don't remember Jason ever being a seven-foot
giant. The hype surrounding the film was unbelievable. I have
never seen this much attention concerning either franchise.
And Roadrunner Records has compiled a soundtrack
which features 20 previously unavailable tracks from
bands like Slipknot, Sepultura, and Type O Negative.
The brand new single from Ill Nino, "How Can I Live,"
is the reason why you will spend your hard-earned cash
on this soundtrack. This is my favorite track on the CD.
Killswitch Engage's "When Darkness Falls" and
Spineshank's "Beginning of the End" are reminiscent from
the film, although the remaining tracks are questionable.
It sort of reminds me of the "Leatherface: The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre III" soundtrack.
There are three different covers for the soundtrack: you
can buy the Freddy version, you can buy the Jason version,
or you can buy the standard version, which features the poster
artwork on the cover.
Who will you buy?
Freddy?
Jason?
I recommend buying both versions since they're limited
editions, and the fan boys will be tripling the price on eBay
in the future!
