I was hoping the score for this unique TV series
would surface on CD someday. I didn't expect it to come
out in a limited edition like this, however.
I was surprised to find this sitting on a dealer's table
at a horror convention in Cherry Hill, N.J. in August. I
asked if it was a bootleg. And I found out it wasn't.
     The price tag said $20.
"I really should be chargin' you $25. These were
hard to come by," said the man behind the counter.
     I believe him.
It's got 26 tracks, the sometimes ethereal, sometimes
rockin' score by Joel Goldsmith. My favorites include
"Danny's Funeral" "Sarah's Home" and "A Violent
Prayer" and "Treading Lightly On Delicate Mist" from
"Parallax;" "Brotherly Love" from "Thanatopsus;" and
"Witchblade Main Title."
There are also four songs: "Strange Days" with vocals
from Keith Menga; "Gauntlet Suite" and "Milk and Honey"
sung by Rod Taylor; "Very Dark Days" with vocals from
Joel Goldsmith; and "Bad Man" sung by Rick Chadock.
Most of the tracks are from "Parallax," the pilot for
season one. So I doubt the the complete score for the
show's two seasons is here. But, I'm thrilled to be able to
add this soundtrack to my collection.
The package contains an 8-page full-color booklet
with the song lyrics and notes from Ralph Hemecker,
the show's executive producer, and Roderick Taylor, one
of the show's writers.
